All Aboard features what's happening along the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. See the train schedule and more here.Hello and Welcome! We are glad you chose to come to Durango, Colorado. The year 2009 will long be remembered for change in Washington and challenges in our economy. Yet, as history has taught us all, our great country will succeed and our greatest years still lie ahead.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad has continuously operated in good and bad times, for 127 years, and will continue to do so for another 127 years and more. Through war and peace, great fires, avalanches, and floods, we continue to "chug" up those mountains. You and hundreds of thousands of people like you, make that possible.

Some of us are railfans, some are history buffs, and some just want to see all of God's majesty in the Colorado wilderness. Perhaps you just want it all. The D&SNGRR is first and foremost a railroad. We operate like all the big trains, except we are 127 years old this year and we run coal-fired, steam-powered engines. The D&SNGRR is history made up of original equipment, maintained to perfection, operated and kept up by people today using skills long lost to ordinary endeavors. Our history protects and preserves the very human character that made our country great. And, the wilderness! On our railroad you will experience Colorado at its best...wildlife, waterfalls, majestic peaks, all from the view of an 1880's passenger. You will see places you can get to only by foot or by train. Railroad, history, and the wilderness; you get it all on the D&SNGRR.

The most important part of our mission is you. . . it is to give you an experience you will never forget. Riding the D&SNGRR you are now a part of history. You are now at one with the wilderness. You are now an 1882 railroader. Welcome aboard! We're glad you're here.
