Set in the open spaces of the Arkansas River Valley near the river's headwaters, ringed by the tallest mountains in the state, surrounded by ranchland and forest, it has a truly spectacular setting. Golf has been played on the site since the 1930s, originally on sagebrush fairways and sand greens. Today, this affordable and friendly course caters to over 20,000 rounds annually, but is never overbooked or hurried. It is conditioned and maintained to a level that rivals the nearby resort courses - but without the $100+ per round price tag. Players, families - everyone - will find golf at Mt. Massive a pleasant experience. This challenging course with small-town charm welcomes players of all ages and abilities to enjoy golfing in a majestic and awe-inspiring setting.

Our staff aims to send you home with only good things to say about the time you spend at "North America's Highest" - and we'll do that without forcing you to use a golf cart (though they are available) and without paying premium prices for simple things like food and beverages. Our full service grill and bar doesn't want an arm and a leg for your post-round lunch - just a smile and some extra time admiring the view.

With a season that starts in late April - early May and runs through late October, Mt. Massive has a long season when considering the rarified air and high elevation. Daytime temperatures typically top out in the mid-70s; humidity is... what humidity? For convenience, we offer advance bookings without deposit 7 days ahead of your tee time, or if you wish to secure your tee time by pre-paying (subject to refund) you may book up to one year in advance!
