Dinner & Murder Mystery Trains depart at: 6:30 PM
* The train departs every Saturday and Sunday at: 12:30 PM through the Royal Gorge. Train ride is 2-hours in duration.
* Choose from Coach and Vista Dome service (Delicious lunch is available in Vista Dome and prepared fresh to order)
* 3-course Lunch Class begins May 1st and is available on all 12:30 PM departures
* Dinner Trains available May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th departing at: 6:30 PM.
* Murder Mystery Trains are available May 1st, 15th, and 29th departing at: 6:30 PM. Both Dinner and Murdery Mystery Trains are 3-hours in duration and include dinner and train ride.

* Murder Mystery Trains available May 29th, June, 12th, 26th, July 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, August 6th, 13th, 28th, September 4th, 18th, October 2nd, 16th, and 30th departing at: 6:30 PM. Murder Mystery Trains are 3-hours in duration and include dinner, train ride and mystery.
* Dinner Trains available May: 29, June 5, 12, 19, 26, July: 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 (Wine Dinner), 23, 24, 30, 31, August: 6, 7, 13, 14, 21 (Wine Dinner), 28, September: 4, 11 (Wine Dinner), 18, 25, October: 2, 9 departing at: 6:30 PM. Dinner Trains are 3-hours in duration and include dinner and train ride.
* 5 Course Wine Dinners available: July 17th, August 21st, September 11th and October 23rd departing at: 6:30 PM. Wine dinners include 5 expertly paired entrees with award winning wines and train ride.
* Oktoberfest lunch is available: September 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th, and 26th, October 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th and 10th at: 12:30 PM
* *August 22nd - October 10th - 3:30 PM departure available on Saturdays only.

* The Santa Express Train will operate November: 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, December: 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17th - 24th, and December 26th - 30th at: 6:30 PM (additional dates may be added). Bring the children dressed in their pajamas and enjoy hot chocolate and holiday stories as the train makes its way to the North Pole.

Historic Royal Gorge Route Railroad
Ride the rails through the royal gorge on Colorado's oldest scenic train - the Historic Royal Gorge Route.
 Ever since the first passenger train steamed through the spectacular Royal Gorge on May 7th, 1879, guests from around the globe have made the trip to Canon City to experience the Royal Gorge by rail. The 12-miles of track that were laid down deep in this narrow, winding chasm offer visitors a chance to experience the Royal Gorge in its entirety on one of Colorado's most popular destination attractions.
The scenery includes dramatic canyon walls that rise more than 1,000 feet above the tracks, narrow points where there is nothing but the train, the river and the granite, and flowering cholla. Bighorn sheep can be seen scrambling up the steep granite walls along with eagles soaring through the canyon. This is a beautiful place!
 The Royal Gorge Route Railroad is Colorado's only gourmet lunch and dinner train and has grown rapidly due to popular demand. Choose from Angus prime rib or fresh salmon for your entrée on the four course dinner train. Osso Bucco, stuffed Cornish game hen, or crab cakes are your entrée choices for gourmet lunch. Vista Dome service offers a wide selection of menu choices while riding in a classic 1950's glass topped dome car.
The Royal Gorge Route offers a class of service for every budget and taste. Choose from comfortable Coach Class with big views, or First Class options of Parlor Class - offering a private bar in a beautifully appointed railcar, Vista Dome service in a glass topped dome car, Gourmet Lunch, Dinner, Murder Mystery, and Wine Trains.
The Royal Gorge Route has the largest fleet of Vista Dome cars in the lower 48, offering panoramic views of the gorge in fully restored 1950's glass topped dome cars. These cars are in service daily for Vista Dome service and gourmet lunch, dinner and wine trains.
Purchase tickets at the Historic Santa Fe Depot in Canon City which is located directly off Highway 50 (Royal Gorge Boulevard). Turn south on 3rd Street at the traffic light and cross the track to the train depot. The train operates year-round except for the months of January, February and is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas day.
