THE VAIL TENNIS CENTER is the valley's premier clay court facility, featuring eight of the best clay courts in Colorado. An energetic, professional staff and a full-service pro shop are also available at the Tennis Center. Adult and junior clinics, as well as men's, double's and lady's leagues and drop-in programs are offered throughout the summer. VRD YOUTH SERVICES offers a variety of youth camps throughout the summer including Camp Vail, Extreme Camp Vail, Pre-Kamp Vail, and Camp Eco Fun. A particularly popular program, Extreme Camp Vail for children ages eight to 13, will enjoy outdoor adventure including horseback riding, rafting, rock climbing and theme park outings. Children who participate in Camp Vail, for ages 5 - 12, will enjoy golf, ice skating, gymnastics and more. Pre- Kamp Vail participants, ages 2 1/2 - 5, enjoy crafts, songs, art and games. Camp
Eco Fun participants, ages 4 to 11, spend time learning about Vail's natural environment with Vail Nature Center staff. Learn to skateboard programs at the Vail Skatepark (located atop the Lionshead Parking Structure) teach kids how to ride in a safe environment with professionally trained staff.

THE VAIL NATURE CENTER, considered one of Vail's best kept secrets, offers unique, world-class programs including plant and animal exhibits, wildflower and morning bird walks, evening beaver pond tours, a summer speaker series, a hiking club, fly fishing and stream ecology classes, photography in nature classes and campfire story telling with star gazing. The Nature Center also offers information on the benefits and dangers of useful plants and herbs through its Nature's Medicine Chest and Pantry class. The Nature Center will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Labor Day weekend and is located adjacent to Ford Park and across the street

Vail Nordic CenterWinter

THE VAIL NORDIC CENTER, located at the Vail Golf Club, provides winter outdoor enthusiasts with an opportunity to find their own path through nature on approximately 17 kilometers of set track for classic cross country or skate skiing, plus a 10 kilometer snowshoe trail. The Nordic Center offers cross country lessons, snowshoe tours and equipment rentals throughout the winter.
