Bud Light Big Air Fridays February 12, 19 & 26; March 5, 12, 19 & 26; April 12, 2010
Don't miss this skier and snowboarder big-air contest on Fanny Hill at the base of Snowmass. The contest runs over eight Fridays in the winter from 2pm to 3pm followed by live music on the Snowmass Village Mall, Après Ski parties and fireworks over Fanny Hill.
Colorado Freeride Championships February 26-28, 2010
Big-mountain skiers and riders put it all on the line in judged runs down the cliff-littered steeps of Snowmass. Each year, the Freeride Championships draw a complete field of top athletes and amateurs from around the globe. Watch the action from the base of the Hanging Valley Headwall or from Gwyn's High Alpine.

Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) will invest nearly $8 million in on-mountain improvements this year and has invested more than $130 million over the previous six seasons, giving guests the most seamless skiing/riding experience in the industry. This includes 11 new lifts with two new gondolas, the industry-leading Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center, three new restaurants, additional terrain, plus the new Snowmass base village. In addition, the first phase of the $18 million room renovation at The Little Nell Hotel (Aspen's only five-star, five-diamond hotel) was completed in the fall.
