Founded by those impacted by the Aurora theater tragedy, the 7/20 Memorial Foundation created the Day of Resilience to demonstrate that even after tragedy, communities can come together, turn compassion into action, and build pathways toward healing and resilience. This free family-friendly event brings together community members, survivors, families, first responders, and supporters for a morning of activities that promote resilience and togetherness.

5K Schedule:
• Check-in & Stretching: 7:00–7:45 a.m.
• Hero’s Journey 5K Start: 8:00 a.m.
• Kids Fun Run Start: 8:45 a.m.

Whether you choose to run, create, connect, volunteer, or simply spend time with friends and neighbors, the Day of Resilience offers an opportunity to come together, support one another, and celebrate the strength of community.

Doug Demusz, a passionate lifetime member of Colorado's outdoor community who enjoys backpacking, adventure cycling, backcountry skiing, along with creating music, and a well rounded appreciation of literature, and community events.
