Join pianist Stephanie Cheng and percussionist Michael van Wirt for an electrifying evening of chamber music featuring guest performers Naomi Niskala (piano) and Mike Tetreault (percussion). The program includes Bartók’s groundbreaking Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion, a 20th-century masterpiece of rhythm and texture. Also on the program is Michael Daugherty’s Lounge Lizards, a playful and jazz-infused work that blurs the lines between classical and popular styles.
