Gilly and the Girl

The Fremont County Community Concert Association is thrilled to present its fourth concert of the 2025-2026 musical season.  Husband/wife duo Gilly and the Girl will be performing their “Raised on Radio” show celebrating the radio hits of the 60s-80s. The performance will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, March 20th, in the Steeple Event Center, 701 Macon Avenue, Canon City.

Gilly and the Girl is a captivating contemporary acoustic duo from central Florida, featuring the heartfelt harmonies and infectious chemistry of husband-and-wife team Mike and Charity Gill. With Mike on guitar and vocals and Charity on lead vocals and hand percussion, they deliver a warm, engaging sound that blends modern acoustic flair with timeless classics. Drawing inspiration from musical legends like James Taylor, The Beatles, Whitney Houston, Jim Croce and Patsy Cline, Gilly and the Girl promise an eclectic, feel-good musical experience that resonates with every audience.

With a repertoire that spans genres and eras, they bring a unique blend of timeless classics and contemporary hits, ensuring there’s something for everyone.  Charity has a musical career spanning decades and showcased her vocal prowess as “Elphaba” in the production of “Wicked” at Universal Studios, Japan.  Mike is a seasoned actor with over 10 years’ experience in more than 30 productions.

Tickets are available only at the door for $25.  Students 19 and under accompanied by a season member will receive complimentary admission. FCCCA season ticket holders also benefit from free admission to performances of the Arkansas Valley Concert Association in La Junta, the Southeastern Colorado Concert Association in Lamar and the Raton Arts & Humanities Council in Raton, N.M.
