As a massive irrigation project transforms the region, Barbara finds herself torn between two very different men while tensions rise over the ambitious undertaking. Featuring sweeping Western landscapes, romance, and spectacular flood sequences, the film is renowned for its grand scale and marked the breakthrough screen appearance of Gary Cooper.
