Cottonwood Center for the Arts is proud to present an invitational exhibition for the month of July composed of kustom artists from across the nation.
Kustom kulture describes the zeitgeist of custom car and motorcycle culture that grew in popularity in the 1950’s and continues today. Greasers, hot rodders, moonshiners, and psychobillys are among the subcultures associated with this movement, and the style of artwork that developed alongside it is equally as diverse and iconic.
With over 13 kustom artists highlighted for this installation, CARS AND STRIPES is an eclectic collection of works ranging from pinstriping to portraiture, sign painting, illustration and beyond.
We invite you to come experience CARS AND STRIPES and enjoy two floors of open studios + galleries this First Friday from 5-8pm, and all month during normal business hours.
