Free Admission for Fathers

In honor of Father’s Day, dads and granddads will enjoy free admission on Saturday, June 17, to the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. Deutschland Through Students’ Eyes, curated by students at Fort Collins High School, is on exhibit in the Main Gallery. The Museum has four galleries, a music room featuring international instruments, the Losel Doll House showcasing Tibetan dolls and costumes handmade by Buddhist monks, and a gnome treasure hunt for youth. The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. month of February.“Atelier” is a collection of works created by in house Cottonwood studio artists during the
years of 2021 and 2022. Mediums will range across ceramics, metalworking, fiber, painting, drawing,
poetry, photography, mixed media assemblage and beyond, incorporating a broad variety of styles
and subject matter.We invite you to come share and experience the vision and talent of our studio artists this February.

Traditional Hawaiian Quilting: History, Characteristics, and Techniques

Traditional Hawaiian Quilting: History, Characteristics, and Techniques will be presented from 6-7:30 pm Tuesday, February 14, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. Jean Krause, a Hawaiian quilter for over 25 years, will explain the significance of various Hawaiian quilt design elements. A native of Oahu, Krause will also demonstrate the creation of a traditional Hawaiian quilt. Admission to the program is $5 per person, and advance reservations are recommended at globalvillagemuseum.org/product/traditional-hawaiian-quilting-history-characteristics-and-techniques/ Light refreshments will be served, and registrants will enjoy free admission to the Museum’s four galleries prior to the program.
