Brooks Floral & Co. provides the cut flowers, pumpkins, floral cutters and step-by-step instructions on how to how to create a beautiful flower arrangement and how to care for them to make them last for weeks! Each of you will then have time to get hands-on with your chosen flowers from our flower bar and arrange flowers in a pumpkin! Wine, beer, non-alcoholic options, and snacks will be provided but feel free to bring a beverage or snack of your choice to sip while styling your chosen fresh flowers! The Faun & The Firebird
The Denver Young Artists Orchestra (DYAO) presents The Faun and the Firebird, performing two iconic works by Debussy and Stravinsky. The afternoon begins with José Pablo Moncayo’s Huapango, a colorful interpretation of the dance-like style of traditional huapango music from Veracruz. DYAO will also breathe life into R. Schumann’s piano concerto featuring Nathan Lee, an award-winning young artist who connects with his audiences by sharing a depth of musical expression well beyond his years.
Opening of Día de los Muertos
“Día de los Muertos” opens Friday, Oct. 7, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures with free admission from 5-8 pm as part of First Friday Art Walk. The Main Gallery exhibition, which runs through Nov. 19, will showcase altars designed and created by community and school groups. For the month of October, the Museum is offering free admission for staff and volunteers at libraries. On Saturday and Sunday, Central City Opera singers will perform at a ticketed Music & Art Concert in The Martin Foundry at 212 Eureka St, Central City, CO 80427.
