Labor Day Arts & Crafts Festival

Original artisan works will be on display under nearly 100 tents during the Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary Club’s annual Labor Day Arts & Crafts Festival in Bond Park Sept. 2, 3, and 4.The event in Bond Park, the anchor for final summer events in the community, features a full range of juried artistic endeavors from sculpture, paintings, jewelry, wood, photography, fiber art and more created by artisans in their own studios. During the weekend children are offered the opportunity to create their own visual art as well as wear face paintings created by a professional artist.For more than four decades, artists’ tents have dotted the perimeter of the park in the heart of downtown Estes for the show. Booths will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 2 and 3; and from 9 am to 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4.Parking in one of Estes Park’s outlying parking lots, or in the free multi-level parking garage at the intersection of US 34 and US 36 (Elkhorn and St. Vrain Avenues) is convenient, and highly recommended. Easy access to the core downtown area is provided by free and frequent shuttles throughout the entire Estes Park area. Those who wish to park closer to all the action in downtown Estes Park are advised that nearly all spots dotting the business district are metered.

26th Annual Labor Day Art Show

Join the Redstone Art Foundation over Labor Day weekend in beautiful Redstone, Colorado for a wonderful weekend of art and demonstrations for adults and kids. This is your chance to see amazing fine art from local and regional artists in a variety of styles and mediums.This year the show will be under tents spaced around the grounds of the Redstone Inn for everyone’s safety and to follow any COVID restrictions.Proceeds from art sales go towards scholarships for college-bound Roaring Fork High School Seniors majoring in art.

Commonwheel Artists Co-Op’s 49th Annual Labor Day Weekend Art Festival in Manitou Springs is always filled with art and music the whole family can enjoy. Art patrons come to enjoy this celebration of original fine art and contemporary crafts, talented local musicians, activities for kids, and specialty food items. For 49 years, a diverse group of potters, jewelers, painters, sculptors, photographers, glass artists, and more, have been displaying their artwork that the Commonwheel jury selects. These artists apply from the Pikes Peak Region, and neighboring states to share their creations with art-appreciating visitors at this juried art festival.
Being able to meet and talk with the artists at the art festival is part of the fun. It can spark a creative side in youngsters that could lead them to a career as an artist or just start a new hobby. There are many types of fine art and contemporary crafts that are affordable. Art patrons are enticed to buy something that they can enjoy for many years to come or begin collecting art for their homes. The fine jewelers offer items that make beautiful gifts, or for you to wear to express your own unique, personal style. Potters offer functional items for the kitchen and dining, plus amazing sculptures. Photographers capture beautiful scenes or create abstract images to entice your eyes. There are paintings in many styles, handmade clothing, plush toys and so much more to discover at the juried Art Festival.

Light in action–expressed in color, movement, and plasma. Lumens is a collaborative exhibit where engineering artists showcase unexpected mediums combining art and science.

Artists will be present on Fridays and Saturdays to showcase their work, hostshocking demonstrations, and answer questions from curious minds.

Cottonwood Center for the Arts is proud to present the works of the Professional Photographers Guild of Colorado Springs for the month of August.

Serving Colorado Springs photographers since 1989, the Professional Photographers Guild of Colorado Springs (PPGCS) brings professional photographers together in a relaxed, informative, and fun community atmosphere that promotes the advancement of the photographer’s skill while creating an open environment where photographers can share their work, ideas, and resources.

This installation will be a diverse collection of images portraying a wide range of subject matter using a captivating variety of techniques.

We invite you to come experience “1000 Words” and enjoy two floors of open studios + galleries this First Friday from 5-8pm, and all month during normal business hours.

Live Makoa Music

Live Makoa Music

Makoa Music will perform from 5:30-7 pm on Friday, Sept. 2, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.  Makoa Music is the brother-sister duo of Noa Phillips (age 17) and Makena Phillips (age 14).  Noa plays the guitar and ukulele, and Makena plays the ukulele and sings lead.  Admission to the Museum will be free from 5-8 pm.  In the Main Gallery, Visions of Rural China features folk art paintings from Huxian County from 1973 to 2000.  GUATEMALA: Rotary in Action in the Museum’s Hall Gallery highlights community development projects by the Fort Collins Rotary Club in collaboration with Rotarians in Guatemala.  For more information, visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call 970-221-4600.
