Tis the season to be merry and bright at Aurora’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway. Join us to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with a variety of sights, sounds and tastes to ring in the holiday season.This year’s entertainment lineup includes performances from Aurora Dance Arts, Aurora Singers and a special visit from the one and only, Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus. Take a stroll through Santa’s workshop and witness the illumination of thousands of sparkling lights around the Aurora Municipal Center. RiNo Showcase Music & Arts Festival
RiNo Showcase is back and we’re bigger and better than ever! This year we’re taking it to the next level! Our all-day event will feature over 100 visual artists, small businesses, and local vendors on June 11th! We’ll have 8 of Denver’s best up-and-coming bands and musicians, DJs, fire dancers, live painters, food trucks, and so much more! All artists and vendors keep 100% of their profits from the show! A portion of all of ticket sales from each of our events will be donated to Harmony & Hue in an effort to help local creatives pay for studio time, art supplies, and small business support while they are jumpstarting their careers! Carnival on the Plaza
Kick off the summer with the City of Aurora’s ‘Carnival on the Plaza’ on Saturday, June 11, from 11am – 3pm at Fletcher Plaza, 9800 E. Colfax Ave. This FREE event will feature inflatables, carnival games, face painting, balloon twisting, caricature artists, frozen treats, activities for individuals of all abilities and a visit from a special guest.
Community Appreciation Festival
Join the Ute Indian Museum for a day of community appreciation, including Indigenous vendors, fry bread, museum store specials, a bounce house, free admission and more! See the day’s schedule below.

- 10 am-noon: Kids activities, petroglyph carving and more
- 10 am-1 pm: Handprint banner painting in memory of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

- 1 pm: Gregg Deal (Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe) challenges Western perceptions of Indigenous people, touching on issues of race, history and stereotypes.

Bike2Build, San Luis Valley (Metric) Century

Jackalope Arts Indie Artisan Fair
Enjoy a Friday night (5pm-10pm) / Saturday afternoon (11am-6pm) filled with shopping featuring 100+ hand-selected artisans all within the heart of Olde Town Arvada. Shoppers can expect to find trendsetting indie goods including original fashion and jewelry design, paper goods, innovative home decor and housewares, art, photography, food, plus much more.

Fundamental Movement Breakdown
NEXUS is running its 2nd round of FMB!
This 2-hour class goes over the basic movements you need to do any fitness movement. From how to correctly do sit-ups, to pull-up modifications, to kettlebell swings. NEXUS educates you on injury prevention and how to recognize faults.The follow-up class to the FMB is the Compound Movement Breakdown class (CMB) which will be offered next month as a LEVEL 2 class. This class goes over the same things but with barbell movements. So if you plan to take the CMB, please consider getting a solid foundation by taking the FMB first.
