Leadville Boom Days is a Colorado Mountain Festival and historical celebration of the Old West, with gunslingers, burro races, contests of mining skill, and a street fair with over 100 food and craft booths. Celebrating Leadville’s rich mining history, the event is beloved by locals and visitors alike. It is always the first full weekend in August. Come join us August 4-6, 2023 for three days of fun, food, arts and crafts, and activities for the whole family!Leadville is located in the heart of the central Colorado Rockies, at an elevation of two miles above sea level. This authentic, real wild west, historic mining town is nestled in a beautiful high mountain valley surrounded by the highest mountains in the state. So high that they are snow covered most of the year.
