Ghostbusters Fill The Ecto Toy Drive & Nintendo Switch Giveaway

St. Nix is partnering with the High Plains Ghostbusters, Northern Colorado Ghostbusters & Fort Collins Ghostbusters to put on a Fill The Ecto Toy Drive event on Dec 16th From 10am – 2pm. St. Nix will also be doing 20% off their whole store and giving raffle tickets for a Nintendo Switch Light for anyone who purchases or brings a toy to donate at the store from 10am-7pm. This event will benefit Kenzi’s Causes which brings toys to Colorado kids who otherwise may not get anything for Christmas. Bring out a packaged unwrapped toy or purchase one to donate, get your picture with a Ghostbuster & Ghostbuster Santa and get entered into multiple giveaways going on. This Fill The Ecto Toy Drive Happening At St. Nix will only be one day Dec 16th. Dont miss it. Nepal and Himalayan Adventures

Kumar Karakheti, a Fort Collins resident and native of Nepal, will present Nepal and Himalayan Adventures at 6 pm Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. The presentation is part of the Museum’s Global Adventures gatherings. Karakheti, who has trekked 65 times to Everest Base Camp, is the owner and lead guide for Journeys, LLC, a company that specializes in custom expeditions in the Himalayas. The Museum’s gift shop will also have items for purchase from Nepal, including blankets made from the wool of yaks, woolen hats and gloves, scarves, and singing bowls. Reservations are $10/person, and registration is requested at globalvillagemuseum.org. Wine and refreshments will be served, and there will be time for socializing and meeting other travelers. The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Foods of the Winter Solstice

Foods of the Winter Solstice will be presented from noon to 3 pm Saturday, Jan. 20, at The Cooking Studio Fort Collins. The fun cook-and-consume class has been organized by the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures in conjunction with its Main Gallery exhibit, Fire and Light: Winter Solstice Traditions. Working with professional chefs, participants will prepare the meal and then savor their creations. The menu will consist of: Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Crostini; Celery Root-Potato Purée; Seared Beef with Juniper Berries, Rosemary and Cabernet-Brandy Reduction; and Pomegranate Frangipane Tart (which contains almonds). The chefs will assist with culinary skills and cooking techniques, and all food and cooking equipment will be provided. Free take-home recipe packets will also be available. Registration to the class is $100/person, and reservations are required by Friday, Jan. 12, at globalvillagemuseum.org. As the class is limited to 16 people, early registration is encouraged. Calling all artists and beer lovers! Join us for a Brushes and Brews class at our brewery on Dec 27 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm! We’ll provide all the materials you need, including paints, brushes, and canvases. You just need to bring your creativity and a sense of fun!

We’ll be painting a bright winter moon scene, and we’ll have plenty of beer on tap, as well as wine, spirits, cider and even NA drinks to keep you hydrated. So come on down and relax, unwind, and create a masterpiece!
