Each of you will then have time to get hands-on with your chosen flowers from our flower bar and arrange flowers in a pumpkin! Wine, beer, non-alcoholic options, and snacks will be provided but feel free to bring a beverage or snack of your choice to sip while styling your chosen fresh flowers! Exploring el Día De Los Muertos
Join us on October 7th for an opportunity to explore the history and culture of an iconic celebration that takes place in multiple Spanish speaking countries in Latin America including the United States.El Día de los Muertos is a historical cultural celebration that takes place in the fall to honor the lives of loved deceased family members.Participants will have an opportunity to participate in a short lecture to learn about the history and purpose of this celebration. Participants will participate in various hands-on activity stations such as: making and decorating sugar skulls, creating papel picado, and making crepe paper marigolds.This workshop will be facilitated by Javier Gonzalez; Sierra Grande High School Spanish Teacher, Maria Fleming; Sierra Grande K-12 Art Teacher, and high school Spanish/Art Club students.Activity is free but space is limited.

Create Your Own Ofrenda
Create Your Own Ofrenda, a free workshop for ages 8-15, will be offered from 10:30-11:30 am Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures. Youth are invited to design their own altar to honor a deceased loved one, which can be a relative, friend, pet, or someone admired like a hero or heroine. All materials will be provided, with participants encouraged to bring a photograph of their loved one. Reservations are not necessary, and light refreshments will be served. 3rd annual No CO Gynecologic Cancer Walk & Brunch
Survivors, family members, friends and those who have been impacted by gynecologic cancer are encouraged to join the fun at the 3rd annual No CO Gynecologic Cancer Walk & Brunch, sponsored by the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance (COCA). This fun, family event will include a light brunch, kids activities and special ceremonies for both survivors and those memorializing a loved one lost to a gynecologic cancer. Following the Walk & Brunch, volunteers will head over to Walrus Ice Cream to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and distribute symptom cards. Walrus will donate 10% of the day’s proceeds to COCA.

Cycle For Smiles
Join a group of enthusiastic cyclists for a fun ride in support of global surgical nonprofit Operation Smile! Colorado Cycle for Smiles is a fundraising event that consists of two rides that will bring together as many as 100 riders each cycling 40 miles. Each rider is tasked with raising $250 each – which covers the cost of as little as $240 to provide a child with a surgery and a new smile. Riders will receive a jersey, a swag bag and attend a post-ride celebration. Prizes will be awarded to the highest fundraiser for each ride. Pick your ride… Roaring Fork 40 begins at Basalt High School. Boulder 40 begins at Roger Groves Park.

Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition, Inc. presents the annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival every fall. The festival occurs during fall staging- when cranes gather in large numbers in the fall to feed and gain energy for their migration south. The festival is held in beautiful Northwest Colorado with events in Steamboat Springs, Hayden, and Craig. The festival features guided crane-viewings, bird and nature walks, expert speakers, films, crane and bird art, children and family activities, and more!
