Taste of Creede

This year’s 35th Annual Taste of Creede Festival will showcase local art and cuisine on Main Street. This annual event was envisioned by local artist Steven Quiller and the Taste of Creede Festival will delight visitors with inspired art and great food.Wander among the 25+ artists on Main Street Saturday, as they bring to life their latest works. Pick a bench in Basham Park and enjoy listening to live music while noshing delectable treats. Alcoholic beverages purchased from participating business are permitted outdoors within designated blocks of downtown. Sample the flavors of this unique boomtown with the first annual KBelle Community Cook-Off! Amateur contestants representing local businesses will face a panel of judges, while ladling out samples for everyone to try. The theme for this inaugural event is soup, chili, and stew.On Sunday, head north on Main Street after lunch for the annual Quick Draw event. Artists begin with a blank canvas and have one hour to complete their one-of-a-kind works. Afterward, these pieces are offered in the annual art auction. Artists are readily available to offer their expertise to other interested art lovers.

Come experience the national parks! On four days in 2018, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone.

Turkey Day 5K Fun Race

Town of Frisco Turkey Day 5K

Join us for the 9th Annual Frisco Turkey Day 5k, presented by The Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute. The run will take place in Frisco on Thanksgiving Day. We encourage you to come out and burn a few calories before celebrating with food, family and fun! This event is open to all ages and will take place on the Summit County Recreation Path and Town of Frisco side streets. We invite all racers to make a non-perishable food donation at the event which will benefit the Family & Intercultural Resource Center of Summit County. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Frisco Elementary’s S.T.E.M. program.

Gold Rush Days is one of Buena Vista’s favorite traditions. Come celebrate our regions interesting mining history, enjoy unique vendor goods, yummy food, wonderful music and the beer garden. The entire family will enjoy Gold Rush weekend in Buena Vista which includes a variety of Musical Entertainment, over 100 Arts and Crafts Booths, historic re-enactments, great food booths, beer garden, kid’s games, duck race, kayak demonstrations, pancake breakfast, the Gold Rush 5K and the infamous toilet seat races!
