St. Patrick’s Puppy Parade and Costume Contest

Attention all good boys, and girls! Boulder Social will host their St. Patrick’s Puppy Parade on Saturday, March 16th. Grab your best buddy and don your festive green garb. Parade registration begins at 11am at the east patio entrance, with the parade starting at 1pm around Arapahoe Ave. and 38th street in Boulder, CO. Come early and stay late to catch all the furry fun. Snap party pics with your pooch and join in on the costume contest after the parade, a few lucky dogs will win pawrific prizes. Take a big stretch on Boulder Social’s dog-friendly patio and enjoy a pup-friendly specials menu featuring house-brewed dog “beer”, plus Irish food specials for pawrents including Bangers & Mash, Irish Stew, a Corned beef Reuben and $5 Social Irish-Style Red Ale.

A $10 donation per parading dog will go directly to Boulder’s Farfel’s Farm and Rescue, and you’ll get a complimentary house-brewed Social Beer for your donation. Dogs of all ages and sizes are welcome to participate in the parade and patio festivities.  Please be sure they are healthy and comfortable around new friends and new environments. Only service dogs are allowed inside the building. Pups must be leashed at all times.

During the festivities stop by and say hi to the local event sponsors. The Bear & The Rat “Cool Treats for Dogs” will be on site with their treat mobile serving up dog-safe frozen yogurt and green cupcake samples, plus Flatirons Natural Pet Market & Wash will have fun giveaways and information about their services. And make sure to check out Boulder Social’s dog and human merch, like bandanas, beer can toys and t-shirts!

Global Adventures — Chinese New Year

The 2024 Chinese New Year on Saturday, Feb. 10, inaugurates the Year of the Dragon. In commemoration of this date, the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures has arranged a dinner from 5:30-8:30 pm at Hunan Chinese Cuisine, 731 E. Harmony Road in Fort Collins, as part of its Global Adventures club. The evening will include a traditional three-course Chinese New Year’s dinner, non-alcoholic beverages, and dessert. A cash bar will be available. The event will include speakers from China, and participants will share stories of their experiences and travels in China. Reservations are $50/person, and registration is required by Feb. 3 at globalvillagemuseum.org. The Museum’s Global Adventures club is designed for those who love to travel, want to recount their travel experiences, delight in sharing stories of travel, and/or dream of traveling one day. Hosts for the evening are Bonnie Titley, a member of the Museum Board, and Sari Gartner, Luxury Travel Advisor for Outdoor Travel Adventures. The Global Village Museum is located at 200 West Mountain Avenue, and Museum hours are 11 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 16th Annual Vino & Notes

Join Habitat for Humanity of Teller County for the 16th annual Vino & Notes Festival.

This brings together some of Colorado’s finest wineries, great food, and local musicians. Vino & Notes 2024 will take place in Woodland Park’s beautiful Memorial Park on Saturday, August 3rd from 11:00pm-5:o0pm.  This wine, food, and jazz festival benefits Habitat for Humanity of Teller County.  Vino & Notes is NOT dog-friendly.

Castle Rock Winefest

The Castle Rock WineFest is an outdoor wine tasting event with more than 2 dozen wineries offering over 180 varietals of the finest Colorado wine. This festival draws wine aficionados for the enormous variety of Colorado wines, fabulous food trucks, artisan vendors, and live music. Activities throughout the day, such as the exciting Grape Stomp will, certainly help work up an appetite–only to be satiated by our many Food Trucks and the amazing cuisine they have to offer! Also available is the Beer Garden, where patrons can purchase cold craft beer local to Castle Rock. There is something for everyone at this year’s Wine Festival. Douglas County Fair & Rodeo Parade

Celebrate the Fair Parade in downtown Castle Rock, presented by the Castle Rock Chamber in partnership with the Town of Castle Rock. Parade starts on the south end of Town, and flows down Wilcox to 4th, to Perry, and ends at the Castle Rock Fire Department. This event is free to the public.

Castle Rock Starlighting

Step into a Norman Rockwell scene at Starlighting, an annual traditional community ceremony that includes lighting the star on top of Castle Rock followed by a fireworks display. Festivities include caroling, dancing, visiting with Santa Claus, kids activities, nonprofit booths, food vendors, hot chocolate, and the iconic chili supper at the Firehouse.
