In It’s Many Colors

The Rocky Mountain Chamber Singers’ concert theme this season “In Its Many Colors” is a celebration of the wonderful diversity of a capella choral music. Works performed will explore the colors of music in all its glorious variety: style, pitch, rhythm, meter, text, non-text, and will also include paying homage to poets and composers of color who are very often overlooked in music history. All in all, it will be a concert packed with works spanning the entire color spectrum: A true aural rainbow for every music lover!

Outside Festival

The first-ever Outside Festival will take place in downtown Denver from June 1-2, 2024. This new event is a one-of-a-kind celebration of everything outdoors, featuring music, films, speakers, and gear. The festival is designed for beginners and experts alike, with experiences and inspiration for climbers, hikers, cyclists, skiers, and the everyday recreationist. The Outside Festival is driven by a partnership between Outside Interactive Inc., The State of Colorado’s Outdoor Recreation Office, and Visit Denver — all with a shared desire to make the outdoors more accessible and more inclusive. Zikr Dance Ensemble presents “Invocation”

In celebration of company’s 15th Anniversary Season, entitled Invocation, Denver’s nationally acclaimed Zikr Dance Ensemble is excited to showcase some of the company’s signature works and audience favorites.“Runes”, called a masterpiece by critics, explores the ancient runic alphabets native to norther European peoples, specifically through the use of runes as a form of divination.“Parallel & Elevated” – a beautiful, acrobatic and atmospheric interaction between two beings, one on the physical plane and the other in a different dimension.“In Your Eyes” is the company’s signature work. Set to the famous music of Peter Gabriel of the same name, “In Your Eyes” will leave audiences breathless, exhilarated and uplifted!The program will also include “Ripples In The Sand”, Artistic Director David Taylor’s most recent stunning creation, set to the mesmerizing music of Hans Zimmer.

Frida’s Wings

In Frida’s Wings, Danse Etoile Ballet will explore the art and life of this famed artist, a contrast of traditional Mexican culture and her modern paintings. Translating the rich symbolism of her pieces into dance, we’ll take a closer look at the many faces of Frida Kahlo, weaving her colorful and complicated life into a creative ballet that pays tribute to one of the most unique and intriguing artists of the 20th century.
