Since 2004, the annual runBlossom race has helped usher in the summer season in Cañon City. As the snow melts and the leaves begin to adorn trees, runners of all ages come together to celebrate the Cañon City Music and Blossom Festival. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s runBlossom race will incur some changes. Please note that – in order to facilitate participant caps – we will not be running the half-marathon event this year. We will offer two events: a competitive 5K at 8:00 am (for those who are able to run in 45: or less), and a jog/walk event at 9:00 am. This separation will allow more individuals to safely participate in the event.We believe that being outdoors is essential to the mental and physical health of our community, and we hope that participants will enjoy this modified version of the race.

Cinco de Mayo Run/Walk
Join us for a 5K run/walk in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. This festive event will take place at Denver’s Washington Park on May 2nd. All participants will get a special shirt and finishers medal as well as a vendor village filled with goodies.After the event, keep the fun going at Civic Center Park for Denver’s Cinco de Mayo festival.

Christmas Sweater 5K
Get into the holiday spirit with the Christmas Sweater 5K! Runners and walkers, young and old, are invited to join us at Washington Park in Denver for a flat, fast 5K. Dress in a tacky sweater – the more tinsel, bows, reindeer and candy canes, the better. It’s not a fashion faux pas if you’re supposed to wear it! All finishers will get a Christmas sweater race medal, a themed shirt and a finish line expo with vendors, food and cookies.
Frisco Triathlon
Are you looking for a new challenge this summer? Register for the 7th Annual Frisco Triathlon on Friday, July 9, 2021 featuring stand-up-paddle boarding, mountain biking, and trail running. This twist on a triathlon is open to all ability levels and encourages athletes to take on a new multi-sport event. The Frisco Triathlon was named “Best Triathlon” in Elevation Outdoors Magazine’s reader poll, 2016 Best of the Rockies.
Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run
The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run is an ultramarathon of 100.5 miles in length, plus 33,050 feet of climb and 33,050 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 66,100 feet, at an average elevation of over 11,000 feet. The run is held on a loop course on 4WD roads, dirt trails, and cross country in Southern Colorado’s San Juan Range, USA.
Leadville Silver Rush 50 Run
Take on 50 miles of extreme territory that starts at 10,200 feet and reaches 12,000 feet on four separate occasions at the Silver Rush 50 Run. It will leave your lungs burning, heart pounding and eyes completely amazed — while also preparing you for the pinnacle Leadville Trail 100 Run presented by La Sportiva.
Town of Frisco Turkey Day 5K
Join us for the 9th Annual Frisco Turkey Day 5k, presented by The Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute. The run will take place in Frisco on Thanksgiving Day. We encourage you to come out and burn a few calories before celebrating with food, family and fun! This event is open to all ages and will take place on the Summit County Recreation Path and Town of Frisco side streets. We invite all racers to make a non-perishable food donation at the event which will benefit the Family & Intercultural Resource Center of Summit County. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Frisco Elementary’s S.T.E.M. program.
Bacon Burner 6K
The Bacon Burner 6k is a 3.8 mile out-and-back run that will take place on a paved recreational trail. All racers will receive a piece of commemorative Bacon Burner apparel. All registrants 21 and older will also receive a free beer ticket to redeem at the Colorado BBQ Challenge. Strollers are welcome; please leave your pet at home. This race is open to all ages and abilities.
Slacker Half Marathon / Relay / 4-Mile Race
The highest downhill half marathon in the country and possibly the highest downhill 4-Mile!It is the perfect race for the serious runner looking for a fast time and for the novice runner building up confidence! Slacker is our attempt at the oxymoron, because everyone knows if you can run a half marathon, much less at 10,000 feet, YOU ARE NOT A SLACKER!
