In 1995, the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce started the first coffin races in the nation, in memory of a beloved member of Manitou Springs. In the years since, the races have grown into an often-copied-but-never-equaled Manitou Springs tradition.

Kids Adventure Games

What started as a backyard fun obstacle course for a few kids turned into a nationwide ADVENTURE RACE series spanning over a decade thanks to a dedicated team of outdoor professionals, who put on a n Eco Challenge/Mountain Games – style race for kids.Now in its 14th year, the Kids Adventure Games is returning to Vail Village August 10-14, 2023. Stepping into tomorrow with extra appreciation for our environment, teamwork, grit & confidence., with an awesome partner & community of friends. This experience truly does last a life time.In teams of two, participants compete together by bike, in water and on foot through a 2.5-4 mile course featuring up to 15 man made and natural obstacles. Races are limited to 130 teams per day. The Kids Adventure Games is more than a race, it’s an event for the whole family to enjoy!

Gynecologic Cancer Walk

3rd annual No CO Gynecologic Cancer Walk & Brunch

Survivors, family members, friends and those who have been impacted by gynecologic cancer are encouraged to join the fun at the 3rd annual No CO Gynecologic Cancer Walk & Brunch, sponsored by the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance (COCA). This fun, family event will include a light brunch, kids activities and special ceremonies for both survivors and those memorializing a loved one lost to a gynecologic cancer. Following the Walk & Brunch, volunteers will head over to Walrus Ice Cream to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and distribute symptom cards. Walrus will donate 10% of the day’s proceeds to COCA.

NEXUS is running its 3rd round of CMB for 2022! Sept 15th 6:30-8:30p! This 2-hour class goes over the compound barbell movement techniques you need to safely perform weightlifting movements. From how to correctly do a deadlift to proper snatch technique, NEXUS educates you on injury prevention, how to recognize faults, and how to safely bailout. Whether you are a member of our gym or not, we highly recommend this educational class if you are performing any weightlifting movements in your workouts.

Cycle For Smiles

Join a group of enthusiastic cyclists for a fun ride in support of global surgical nonprofit Operation Smile! Colorado Cycle for Smiles is a fundraising event that consists of two rides that will bring together as many as 100 riders each cycling 40 miles. Each rider is tasked with raising $250 each – which covers the cost of as little as $240 to provide a child with a surgery and a new smile. Riders will receive a jersey, a swag bag and attend a post-ride celebration. Prizes will be awarded to the highest fundraiser for each ride. Pick your ride… Roaring Fork 40 begins at Basalt High School. Boulder 40 begins at Roger Groves Park.

No, we are a family-friendly car show organizer, and we encourage kids to come! Kids under 12 are free of charge. We do require adults and guardians to bring an ID.What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
