The 46th Annual L’Esprit de Noël Holiday Home Tour, presented by the Joseph-Haarer Group of LIV | International Realty, returns in-person after two years as a virtual event! This much anticipated walking tour takes place Friday, November 18th and Saturday, November 19th, from 10am to 4pm in the beautiful Glenmoor Country Club neighborhood. Five magnificent and architecturally diverse homes will be festively decorated by ten talented local florists and table designers. Floral designers include Birdsall & Co., Flower Power, Fresh Flower Market, KaraKara Flowers, and Plum Sage Flowers. Table Designers are Enjoué Studio, Home with Holliday, Lulu’s Furniture, T is for Table, and White Peacock.In addition to the home tour, there will also be a holiday boutique and ticketed luncheon on Saturday, November 19. Both will be held in the Glenmoor Country Club’s Clubhouse on Saturday only. Tour goers can enjoy a buffet lunch during one of two seating times, then shop at the boutique for unique holiday gifts made and curated by local Colorado vendors. Parade of Lights at 6pm Lighting of the worlds largest Christmas Tree on Christmas Mountain to follow. Holiday Park open through the Holidays Christmas Mountain will be lit until the first Sunday in January.
Christmas Mountain 5 Mile Run
Celebrate Thanksgiving weekend and the lighting of Christmas Mountain in Salida with a 5 mile race! Course begins and ends by Riverside Park in downtown Salida. Race course is very scenic and flat (around 160 feet of elevation gain) and takes place on city and county roads and gravel or concrete pedestrian paths. This event is designed for all runners, and we encourage all ages and abilities to come out! Packet pickup, post race drinks and snacks, and awards will also take place in Riverside Park in downtown Salida. Race begins at 10am, giving participants time to sleep in after Thanksgiving, and then relax with friends and family before heading back to downtown Salida for the lighting of Christmas Mountain. Festivities in town associated with this event include the annual Christmas Mountain parade, beginning at 6pm, followed by fireworks. This is one of Salida’s biggest and most celebratory nights each year. The goals of this event are to encourage health, fitness, fun, and community connection around the Thanksgiving holiday; to offer another competitive racing opportunity in Chaffee County; and to raise money during the holiday season for the Chaffee County Community Foundation. Prize money (TBD for 2022) will be offered to the top 3 W/F overall, along with the first place M/F masters runner (ages 40+). The Story
It had been said that the River North Media Building was haunted, but you brushed it off as superstition. However, recent supernatural activity has terrorized the tenants. The Haunting is Real. To help investigate and perhaps eliminate the ghostly disturbances, paranormal investigators Anthem and Aria have been called in. Hopefully they can supply answers and solutions. However, when things go wrong, the investigation turns dangerous. Everyone must work together to put the dark spirit to rest with a seance. Who are The Psychic Soulmates Connected by their mutual love of the supernatural, Anthem and Aria tour internationally spreading macabre mystery and a message of cosmic connection. Working as equal partners they read minds, summon spirits, and touch hearts at colleges, on cruises, and in world class theaters. You’ve seen them in Las Vegas showrooms and on Hulu and America’s Got Talent. Awarded Mentalist Of The Year, Best Variety Show, and the Lance Burton Award Of Excellence, you can expect a chilling and stunning night of ghostly illusions. HELLA HECTIC
CALLING ALL THOSE LOOKING TO GET HELLA HECTIC!Hella Hectic is the evolution of a classic ski and snowboard cross event. We reimagined the course seen at resorts around the globe and restructured the competitive divisions; from Men’s and Women’s Snowboarders and Skiers to Adaptive heats and even a whole division dedicated to Teams.Competitors will face off in heats of 4 riders on a course full of banked turns, rollers, drops and step-ups. Winner takes all in each division, with a pond skim finish line to seal the victory!It will be fast, competitive, and most important… HECTIC!With a $35K prize purse on the line, make sure you’re waxed up and ready to rip. It all goes down April 23rd at Copper Mountain, Colorado. Let’s get Hectic and hopefully stay dry!Spectators welcome to watch up close next to the pond skim and alongside the course.
Youth Ski League Championships
Youth Ski League (YSL) is the earliest developmental branch of U.S. Ski & Snowboard for aspiring Alpine ski racers. YSL introduces young ski racers to the competition experience, to learn, progress, and have fun.The YSL Championship will take place on Lower Hughes and will encompass age classes U8, U10, U12, U14, and U16 competing in Slalom and Giant Slalom. These races will focus on the FUNdamentals of ski racing. The Championships will feature one Giant Slalom run, one Slalom run and a Skills Quest activity. Races will be on Lower Hughes and Skills Quest on Larry Sales.
