Homegrown Adventures Film Fest
Spoketober concludes with the Homegrown Adventures Film Fest at the Durango Welcome Center where the best video submissions from the Spoketober Video Contest will be premiered on the big screen. The best videos in each category will receive prizes and be featured on @VisitDurango and @SpoketoberDurango. Everyone in attendance will receive free cycling-themed posters, stickers, and more.
Durango Turkey Trot
One of Durango’s most popular running races, the Turkey Trot presented by Animas Surgical Hospital is a 30-year holiday tradition for the whole family. Come burn off some calories and work up an appetite before your big meal!The Turkey Trot features a 5-mile race and a 1-mile fun run. Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering
The dates for 2022 are September 29th to October 2nd. According to True West magazine’s “Best of West”, the Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering is a must-see. Each year, performers and audiences gather to promote and celebrate the American West with cowboy music, poetry, and storytelling.Saturday features a chuckwagon breakfast downtown followed by the largest motorless parade in Colorado.
