Live Music with Fort Collins Marimba

Fort Collins Marimba will perform Friday evening, August 5, at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures as part of First Friday Art Walk. Admission to the Museum will be free from 5-8 pm.  In the Main Gallery, “Visions of Rural China” features folk art paintings from Huxian County from 1973 to 2000.  “GUATEMALA:  Rotary in Action” in the Museum’s Hall Gallery highlights community development projects by the Fort Collins Rotary Club in collaboration with Rotarians in Guatemala.  For more information, visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call 970-221-4600.

The Family Center Fiesta 2022

The Family Center/La Familia has had the honor to serve our community for over 25 years. We celebrate our impact with supporters and guests at our annual Fiesta Party! This is a lively event filled with delicious Mexican food, margaritas, dancing, auctioned prizes, and more dancing! The local favorite, Manabi Latin Band, will be filling the air with their incredible music on the big stage. Our silent auction is known for being the LARGEST in NoCo! Our venue host, The Lyric, is the perfect setting, offering ideal open event space. Come dance with us!
 
This event is a way for our families, donors, board, and supporters to celebrate the impact we make in our community and the good work we do for our future: our youth.

Tickets include entrance to the party, 2 drink tickets, fiesta food, live music, and the opportunity to bid on fantastic auction items. Our VIP ticket included even more! We are proudly known for offering one of the LARGEST silent auctions in Northern Colorado!

Upheaval of Global Politics: The War in Ukraine and Rising

“Upheaval of Global Politics:  The War in Ukraine and Rising Tensions Over Taiwan” will be presented Thursday, July 21, from 6-7:30 pm at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.  Loren Crabtree, Emeritus Provost at Colorado State University, will explore the impact of the Ukraine war on the international balance of power and global economy.  Dr. Crabtree will also address China’s saber rattling over Taiwan and emerging U.S. policies in the Indo-Pacific region.  Registration is required at globalvillagemuseum.org, with reservations taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Admission is $5 per person.  For more information, visit globalvillagemuseum.org or call 970-221-4600.

Little Plates for Little People

Teaching Tree Open House: “Little Plates for Little People”

The outdoor event will feature a silent auction and live music from the Waido Experience. Community members are encouraged to bring the entire family to enjoy a variety of games and activities for all ages. The Sweaty Moose Food Truck will serve their “Colorado-style comfort foods” alongside a variety of complimentary appetizers and beverages. Staff will offer tours of the facility throughout the evening.  
 
The event is free to attend, though guests are encouraged to make donations. Advance registration is required. Attendees who donate $50 or more with their registration will receive a voucher for a complimentary meal during the event from Sweaty Moose. Community members can register to attend at teaching-tree.org/little-plates.

Rotary in Guatemala: Impacting the Lives of People

“Rotary in Guatemala:  Impacting the Lives of People” will be presented by Zoom on Thursday, June 16, from 6-7:30 pm.  The presentation is in conjunction with the Hall Gallery exhibit, “GUATEMALA:  Rotary in Action,” at the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures.  Claude Piche, a former member of the Fort Collins Rotary Club, will share interesting stories from community development projects that helped improve the health, education, and access to clean water for thousands of Guatemalans.  Registration at $5 per Zoom connection is available at globalvillagemuseum.org.  Registrants will receive the Zoom invitation on the day before the program.

Opening of Textiles: Exploring Boundaries

Free Admission Day

Visitors will enjoy free admission to the Global Village Museum of Arts and Cultures on Saturday, Dec. 17. The free admission day is sponsored by ClothRoads. In the Museum’s Main Gallery, “Textiles: Exploring Boundaries” showcases extraordinary fabrics and cloths as well as examines our assumptions and perceptions about what constitutes a textile. Ride to End Alzheimer’s

Register for the Alzheimer’s Association Ride to End ALZ and join us for a fully supported road ride in Fort Collins, CO, on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Together we will accelerate scientific progress in the fight against
America’s sixth-leading cause of death.  Ride in confidence with rest stops, SAG vehicles and extra safety precautions, along with the best post-party that includes a fully-catered lunch.

The Ride to End ALZ is a road cycling event for a range of riders, whether you’re a novice cyclist, weekend warrior or avid enthusiast. Choose a fully-supported route between 20-100 miles that all start and finish at Canvas Stadium on the CSU campus in Fort Collins. Challenge yourself to go the distance for all those affected while raising funds and awareness to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s.
