Leadville Boom Days
Leadville Boom Days is a Colorado Mountain Festival and historical celebration of the Old West, with gunslingers, burro races, contests of mining skill, and a street fair with over 100 food and craft booths. Celebrating Leadville’s rich mining history, the event is beloved by locals and visitors alike. It is always the first full weekend in August. Copper Triangle Bicycle Ride
There’s never a bad time to train for a true alpine cycling classic like Copper Triangle. Start high in the Rocky Mountains and only go up from there on the 79-mile loop cresting three Colorado mountain passes – totaling 6,500 feet in elevation gain. New this year, a friendly QOM & KOM of Vail Pass, with podium presentations for the top 3 men & women.
Florence Pioneer Days
Florence celebrates its Pioneer Days in September with a lively parade that features a salute to the town’s founders. Food, games, a tractor pull, street dance, Junktique sale and arts and crafts fair are a few highlights of the three-day event.
Castle Rock WineFest
Presented by the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce, the WineFest is held annually on the third weekend in July. This festival draws wine aficionados for the enormous variety of Colorado wines, fabulous food trucks, artisan vendors, and live music. Come Sip & Savor some of the finest vino Colorado has to offer! We are stoked to bring back your favorite outdoor adventure sport competitions live and in-person June 8-11 in Vail, CO!Professional and amateur outdoor adventure athletes from the Vail Valley and around the world will converge upon the mountains and rivers of Vail to compete in nine sports and 25 disciplines including: x-country and road cycling, freestyle, 8-Ball, sprint and extreme kayaking, raft cross, World Cup Bouldering, stand up paddle sprint and surf cross, as well as trail, mud and road running, dog comps and the Ultimate Mountain Challenge.In addition to the athletic events, the GoPro Mountain Games will include a mountain photography competition, adventure film school, film festival, an interactive exhibition and demo area, live music, and mountain lifestyle parties.The Mountain Games are a project of the Vail Valley Foundation.
